he first thing you say when someone sends you to shoot as an event photographer in France: “Oui.
The second is: “I’ll have to reschedule my dental appointment again…”.
I was lucky enough to join the GP Explorer 3 team at Squeezie to capture a practice session with Cocottee. When you find yourself with top-notch content creators on a set in France, you feel it right away. Everyone knows what they have to do, and it’s a smooth ride.
The first thing I realized? I was the new guy who didn’t say “just yet”.
It was intimidating, I’m not going to lie. They already knew each other, they had their rhythm, their reference points, their inside jokes…
But very quickly, I realized how open people were. I realized that, even if everyone was super-specialized, there was a real sense of mutual support. Ambitious ideas, smiles on all sides, and above all, a great deal of respect for the work of others.
In fact, it’s probably one of the most humane sets I’ve ever had the chance to work on.
(For those wondering: yes, I got a new appointment… and a purple toothbrush. I think my dentist still likes me).
