La Relève Cercle Finance du Québec

In the world of professional photography, we often talk about technique, equipment or composition. But recently, I’ve come to realize that it’s a privilege to accompany people in the big moments of their lives. ents in their lives that make me love portrait shoots so much.

But when Mariève Boucher contacted me to do a corporate portrait session, little did I know that I would be reunited with some familiar faces. Rafaël, Charlie-Rose, Nicolas and other professionals I’d worked with before wanted new portraits to mark the next step in their career at the Cercle de finance du Québec.

It got me thinking. As a photographer, you’re often there for the big moments in people’s lives – yes, well… for weddings and births, but also for important professional milestones. I’d paid less attention before, except that seeing the same people I’d worked with before, but with new roles, new ambitions and new responsibilities… It just made me realize how much they’ve evolved professionally since I last saw them. When I look at these portraits now, I see much more than corporate photos – I see journeys, successes, ambitions.

For this shoot, Victor and Laurie ofAgence Vlad, owners of Studio Soho in Quebec City, lent us their space for the day. It was the perfect room for an intimate shoot like ours. It was just the six young financial professionals and me.

So a big thank you to Victor and Laurie for welcoming us to the studio, and to the entire Cercle de Finance team for their energy and confidence!
