A year ago, I covered the 41st gala of the Association des MBA du Québec (AMBAQ) on my own. It was a major challenge, but also an unforgettable experience. Yet one thought kept coming back to me: how could I go even further? To document an event of this scale, a single pair of eyes and hands isn’t always enough. So it was for their 50th anniversary, at the 42nd Gala, that I was given the chance to turn my vision into reality by putting together a multidisciplinary team that would be up to the challenge of the evening!
Finding the right team wasn’t just a question of numbers, but of complementary expertise. With Adrien Tosti behind the video camera, Ophélie Boisvert capturing additional moments in photography, and Félix in charge of interviews with guests prior to the evening, we joined forces to offer comprehensive coverage. Each brought his own touch, his own angle, and together we managed to capture not only the elegance and prestige of this event, but also the moments of connection and spontaneity that make it unique.
This experience reminded me of the importance of surrounding myself with the right people. Far from diluting my vision, this team enriched it. Working with specialized talent allowed me to focus on what I do best, knowing that every detail was being taken care of. That’s exactly what a successful professional collaboration is all about.
This project also marked a milestone in my own evolution. One year and 180 projects later, I’m proud to say that the connections and experience I’ve developed are directly reflected in the work I deliver. Each new collaboration is an opportunity to push my limits, and this gala is proof of that. Many thanks to Marilyn Mahotieres and Dominique Vézina for their confidence in me once again.
A major event requires a clear vision and a strong team to capture every detail. Because an event isn’t just a series of moments, it’s a story. With the right talents united around the same vision, that story can be told with accuracy and depth.
