Working with an emerging Quebec brand like Sol Athletique is always an enriching experience because everything has yet to be written and invented. It’s a fully blank canvas, where the brand’s style, signature and message have yet to be defined. For this photoshoot, I was asked to photograph the eco-responsible sports products created by two motivated sisters who wanted to create fashionable clothes that had a fun style which would make people want to wear them.
During our collaboration, I had the opportunity to play an advisory role. The co-founders trusted me to take the photos for their e-commerce site. Time was against us : we only had two hours to photograph 15 different products with three models. It’s amazing what a difference an efficient organization can make!
The end result was all the more satisfying: colorful, modern photos that tell the story of two sisters and their dream to transform the Quebec fashion industry. I’m proud of the style and message we were able to convey through the e-commerce photos and it’s a privilege to have been part of the success of this brand-new venture.
