The art of first impressions in university management competitions

At university management competitions, first impressions are crucial.
And the Competition Committee of Laval University’s Faculty of Business Administration (CCFSA) understands this perfectly.
Working with them is always a pleasure, because they’re one of those clients with whom things really click.
These competitions, which bring together students from various schools across Eastern Canada, are a perfect playground for innovation and management excellence.
They provide a unique platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving, presentation and leadership skills, all in a competitive and stimulating environment.

With the distinct concepts we developed for four delegations, I captured 192 student portraits, distributed as follows:

  • 34 at Symposium GRH: “En route vers l’aventure”,
  • 85 at Jeux du Commerce: “Highschool AI Trend”,
  • 34 at Omnium financier: “The Great Gatsby”,
  • 41 at Happening marketing: “Time to shine”.

This creative photoshoot not only highlighted the dynamism and uniqueness of each team, but also underlined the importance of image in the competitive context of university competitions.
Each photoshoot told a compelling story of a collective quest for excellence.

The CCFSA experience is a perfect example of how a harmonious working environment can transform a complex task into a rewarding and memorable experience.
It was in this spirit of camaraderie and originality that CCFSA set a high standard of presentation with their portraits, demonstrating once again that a good first impression can really make all the difference.
